Dr Don's Termite's Fly
What does a flight of termites look like?
This animation works on most browsers with Javascript
and a little better in Netscape than IE

Once seen, the spectacle of a termite flight is hard to forget.
Look for termites (mostly) in the afternoon or evening on a hot day
when a cool change is expected. You will be able to easily spot
the four (equal sized) floppy, almost clear, softly fluttering wings.
Sometimes they'll be darker and sometimes they'll have thinner bodies.
There won't be much wind and the termites can't fly against it anyway.
Watch out, rain will be coming!
